You don't need to figure this out on your own. Tell us what you're interested in and we'll do the legwork.
How it works
- Register with us. Takes a few minutes — tell us your preferred trade or industry and upload a resume if you have one. No resume? We'll help you write one.
- Have a chat with our team. A quick consultation, in person or over the phone, about your goals and what will suit you. Not sure what you want to do yet? That's fine — that's what the chat is for.
- We match you and pitch you. We'll put you forward for vacancies on our Jobs Board that fit — and if there's no advertised job in your trade, we can approach employers directly on your behalf.
- Hiring an apprentice or trainee?
Think of us as your free recruitment team. We already have a pool of registered candidates who've told us the trades they want.
How it works
- Register your vacancy. Create your position online — need help writing the job description? We'll do it with you.
- We screen for you. Candidates are tested and interviewed by our team first, including a language, literacy and numeracy assessment, so you only see people who are genuinely ready. You'll get fortnightly updates on how your vacancy is tracking.
- You get a shortlist. We send you referrals and resumes for the most suitable, job-ready applicants. You choose. When you've picked your person, we handle the sign-up and training contract too.
- What else we help with:
- Resume writing — we'll build one with you from scratch
- Interview preparation — practice and pointers before you front up
- Job-fit assessment — a short work-style test that helps match you to roles you'll actually enjoy
- Career advice — not sure an apprenticeship is right for you? We'll point you to other employment and training options, no strings
- We come to your school
At Apprenticeships NT, we visit schools right across the NT to connect with young people and showcase the opportunities available through apprenticeships and traineeships.
University isn't for everyone… but a VET pathway gives students the opportunity to earn while they learn, gain real-world experience, and work toward almost guaranteed full-time employment at the end.
Our Careers Team can support your school with:
