Apprenticeships Specialist Team Leader
Kelsey commenced her employment with GTNT Group in July 2019. She started working as part of the registrations team for the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network and progressed into a Field Solutions Officer role. Kelsey is the Apprenticeships Specialist Team Leader under the current Australian Apprenticeship Support Services contract.
Kelsey’s responsibilities includes liaison with Registered Training Organisations in relation to formal training programs for Australian Apprentices. She manages and monitors contractual obligations, the training agreements and contract responsibilities to ensure best practice is effectively applied and also monitors the progress of Australian Apprentices in the Darwin, Batchelor and East Arnhem Land Region.
Samantha Lelekis
Apprenticeships Mentor
Samantha commenced with GTNT Group in January 2021, with the Apprenticeship Australian Support Network as a Field Solutions Officer. She moved into the Apprenticeships Mentor role under the current Australian Apprenticeship Support Services contract. Samantha’s responsibilities include mentoring apprentices and employers, offering guidance and support when needed. She consults with apprentices to ensure they meet training contract obligations and refers them to specialist services when necessary. Samantha builds strong networks to expand support options and manages complex issues to improve completion outcomes. She oversees a caseload of apprentices, conducting sign-ups, site visits, and case management, while ensuring proper support and compliance across urban, regional, rural, and remote areas.
Hayley Shields
Indigenous Mentor
Hayley is the appointed Indigenous Mentor as part of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services contract in the Northern Territory. As part of her role, she supports the First Nation Australian apprentices and apprentices who live in a remote location. Hayley’s responsibilities include providing additional support to apprentices and trainees throughout their training and work placements. This support can cover challenges in the workplace, outside of work, or related to study, and may be as simple as a quick text or phone call, or more involved like study assistance. She schedules workplace visits every three months for the duration of each traineeship / apprentcieship but is available for additional contact at any time.
